By Sebastian Gregoricchio (lab Wilbert Zwart, Netherlands Cancer Institute)
In this masterclass, Sebastian Gregoricchio and invited speakers will introduce you to the principles of the Assay for Transposase-Accessible Chromatin using sequencing (ATAC-seq). This technique allows for the detection of accessible chromatin, which is not “protected” by nucleosomes and transcription factors. However, these data can be exploited to infer much more than mere chromatin accessibility. The masterclass will include both lectures on innovative analysis approaches and hands-on data practical for the most common quality controls and differential peak analyses. These technologies have applications in a broad range of biology fields.
NOTE: Basic familiarity with R and shell/bash/terminal is required for the practical.
Invited speakers
Carlie de Vries (Amsterdam UMC)
Luca Braccioli (Utrecht University)
Aayush Grover (ETH Zürich, Switzerland – Valentina Boeva lab)
