Oncode Institute is excited to announce an open call for applications to a Junior Oncode Investigator (jr OI) position, starting on January 1st, 2024. Oncode Institute is eager to give (future) junior group leaders the opportunity to become part of the Oncode community and to gain access to support and tools to significantly contribute to oncology research.

Established in 2017, Oncode Institute has been at the forefront of innovative cancer research, focusing on efficient and rapid translation of breakthrough discoveries to patients. With its three core pillars of Science, Collaboration, and Valorization, the institute fosters academic freedom, extensive interdisciplinary interactions, and proactive efforts to recognize and translate lab-based findings for the benefit of patients.

Jr OIs are expected to have or develop an independent research line that contributes to the institute's mission and focuses on basic oncology research or research with high potential value in the field of oncology. Oncode is particularly interested in candidates with a pro-active attitude towards exploring opportunities for valorization and who are highly motivated to actively engage with the Oncode community.

At least four jr OIs will be offered a four-year position, with base funding of max €120,000 per calendar year. In addition, they will have full access to all Oncode programs, activities, and funding opportunities, as well as dedicated valorization support.

The jr OI position is an excellent opportunity for researchers looking to make an impact in oncology research, benefit from extensive support and funding, and engage with a vibrant research community. Interested candidates should submit their applications to Oncode Institute by June 14th, 2023.
