Oncode Institute is proud to announce that two Oncode Investigators were honoured with the prestigious EMBO membership. The membership recognizes outstanding achievements in the life sciences and members are actively involved in the EMBO organization
Marvin Tanenbaum (Hubrecht Institute) and Michiel Vermeulen (Radboud University) are among the 67 researchers who have been elected to the prestigious EMBO membership this year. The newly elected members reside in 22 countries. The membership recognizes outstanding achievements in the life sciences and members are actively involved in the EMBO organization.
Michiel Vermeulen says: “'I am very honored and excited to become part of the vibrant EMBO community, whose goal it is to promote and support excellence in the life sciences in Europe and beyond. I very much look forward to contribute to this mission”.

Members provide guidance and support for EMBO activities and stimulate the exchange of scientific information. Through their involvement, members shape a research environment where scientists can achieve their best work in Europe and beyond, and foster the careers of young researchers.
“To be selected as an EMBO member is an honor and a great opportunity to contribute to science in Europe. For me, the most exciting part of it is to meet many new great scientists across Europe in fields that I normally don't interact with much. I hope to learn a lot from these meetings and broaden my horizon, and potentially initiate new exciting collaborations”, Marvin Tanenbaum explains.

The new EMBO members will be formally welcomed at the annual Members’’ Meeting in Heidelberg between 26 and 28 October 2022.
