Oncode Institute is excited to announce a unique opportunity for Oncode researchers to fast-track the journey of their ground-breaking ideas from lab to clinic. Oncode has set-up a Clinical Proof of Concept (CPoC) programme, which aims to stimulate and support the clinical translation of innovative cancer treatments.
The CPoC programme is designed to fund and support the implementation of first-in-human studies of novel therapeutics developed by Oncode Investigators. This programme provides the opportunity to test the effectiveness of new innovations in actual patients. The studies are expected to provide insights into the possible reactions of patients to these innovations and determine whether the concept deserves further research.
A distinguishing factor of the Oncode's CPoC programme is its high-risk, high-gain approach. It is dedicated to fostering novel projects that could potentially revolutionize cancer care but may otherwise struggle to secure funding due to their exploratory nature. This round of proposals specifically seeks to address areas with the most significant unmet medical needs and promote therapies that could offer substantial benefits over existing treatment options.
The current call for proposals targets novel therapeutic strategies, with a particular interest in the development of new treatments. Although biomarker-related studies may be incorporated if used for patient stratification or outcome monitoring, trials aimed solely at identifying or validating biomarkers will not be eligible in this call.
The maximum funding available for a CPoC study is 400.000 euros, special considerations could be made for exceptional circumstances.
Oncode Institute warmly welcomes submissions from its Oncode Investigators together with clinician(s) for this unique programme. Further information about the application process and the CPoC programme can be found here.
Deadlines
- Deadline pre-proposal: pre-proposals can be submitted and will be processed on a rolling basis, but ultimately before September 1st, 2023.
- Deadline full proposal: December 1st, 2023 (Please note we have learned it takes at least 2 months to develop a pre-proposal into a full proposal)
